What this chapter covers

This chapter covers arms and ammunition together with their parts and accessories. It spans military weapons, sporting shotguns and rifles, devices firing flares or blank ammunition, and munitions such as bombs, mines, missiles, cartridges and projectiles. The expression "parts thereof" in heading 93.06 does not extend to the radio and radar apparatus of heading 85.26.

• Firearms working by firing an explosive charge: sporting shotguns and rifles, muzzle-loading firearms (93.03)
• Very pistols and other devices for firing flares, and pistols or revolvers firing blank ammunition (93.03)
• Captive bolt humane killers and line-throwing guns (93.03)
• Parts and accessories of the arms of headings 93.01 to 93.04 (93.05)
• Munitions of war such as bombs, grenades, torpedoes, mines and guided missiles (93.06)
• Cartridges, other ammunition and projectiles, including shot and cartridge wads, and their parts (93.06)
