What this chapter covers

This chapter covers wadding, felt and nonwovens, together with twine, cordage, ropes, cables and the nets made from them; special yarns coated with rubber or plastics belong here too. Under the notes, "felt" also takes in needleloom felt and fabric consolidated by stitch-bonding using fibres drawn from the fabric itself. Felt impregnated, coated, covered or laminated with plastics or rubber stays in heading 56.02 and nonwovens in 56.03, and 56.03 also takes in nonwovens in which plastics or rubber act as the binder. The goods move to Chapter 39 or 40 only in the cases set out in Note 3: complete embedding, felt containing 50% or less textile material or felt by weight, or nonwovens coated on both sides where the coating can be seen with the naked eye.

madde olarak kullanıldığı dokunmamış mensucatı da içine alır.

Bununla beraber 56.02 ve 56.03 pozisyonlarına aşağıda yazılı olanlar dahil değildir:
